Itinerary:
1) Our 3-cenote visits:
The first cenote or sinkhole is shaped like a huge natural rock pool and is surrounded by lush jungle vegetation and filled with emerald-green water. Here you will learn about the natural aspects of cenotes (ecosystemic functioning, fauna, flora, etc.) and you will be able to enjoy the refreshing water by swiming, snorkeling or just floating on one of our big luxury inner tubes.

The second cenote is shaped like a cavern tunnel, big on the inside, and filled with incredible geological formations (like stalactites and stalagmites). This water is an incredible aquamarine-blue and here our guides will teach you about the geological formation of cenotes, how they have been explored, and how cave divers work their way through them. You will also snorkel from one side of the tunnel right through to the other.

Leaving the other side you will continue to walk through the jungle to the third cenote which is literally shaped like a huge egg that has collapsed downwards, leaving behind an island surrounded by a moat of clear blue water. Here you will witness a Mayan purification ritual and learn of the religious and cultural importance of the cenotes to the Mayan people.

2 ) And if this isn’t enough we have created a zip-line route that joins these 3 cenotes. For those of you that want to fly through the jungle – this is your unforgettable opportunity! We have three that you can enjoy

The first zip-line hangs over the first cenote, 60mts long, so you can fly over this beautiful area enjoying the scenary from the air!

The second hangs in the jungle between the first and second cenotes, again 60ms long, but this time with a little more inclination and therefore a little faster.

But our third zip-line will leave you breathless! Leaving the third cenote you can climb our 17m high tower and launch yourself off of it to fly 160ms above the forest canopy! The view of the
forest from up there is breathtaking and the flight equally amazing.

3). After that it’s back to the rest area for delicious food, drinks and relaxation!

So our Mayan Canopy Expedition offers a unforgettable day in the jungle that combines easy walking with biking, eating, swimming, snorkeling and, of course, flying!
